Cow Rescue Near Samayapuram Case 460

A devotee from Chennai on pilgrimage tour to Samayapuram Temple saw this injured cow. He informed fire service they informed us. We went to the spot and searched the cow for two hours and found the cow. We tried to catch the cow the cow started running away and fell into a small canal. We didn't get any help from near by public to rescue the cow. We then informed Fire Service Department and asked them to help us to Rescue the cow. Fire Service team came to the spot. The incharge Mr Ashok said it's not their duty and he told us to hire people and Rescue the cow and the team left the place. We spoke to AWBI Assistant Secretary Mr Vinoth he said he was at Delhi and asked us to speak to Mr Bharath. We spoke to Mr Bharath. He spoke to SriRangam Fire Service. We also spoke to Mr Somanathan an Animal Activist from Chennai. We, Somanathan spoke to District Fire Officer over a conference call. District Fire Officer ordered the returning fire service team to assist us in rescuing the cow. Finally the cow was rescued and placed on the road. In the meantime we requested Govt Animal Ambulance. The Animal Ambulance came to the spot. With that we shifted the cow to Palakkarai Vet Clinic. There necessary Treatments were given. We then went to search for the owner. Enquired at Kannanur Vet Hospital. Livestock Inspector Mrs Suganthi informed that about 20 days back this cow was brought for 3 days for Treatment by the owner. Then it was not brought for Treatment. Finally we found the owner. He came to Palakkarai Vet Clinic and saw the cow. He was not ready to take back the cow. He requested us to give the cow for Adoption. We gave the cow to Vedic Foundation Goshala for treatment. There treatment continues for the cow. The cow is recovering well.
